Dell Compellent Storage Basic Training ( Dell Partner Training)
The goal of this course is to provide a basic overview of Dell Compellent hardware, software, and Copilot tools.
This course provides information which will allow a student to speak confidently with a customer and handle basic technical support issues and understand the fundamentals of a system installation.
This is not a replacement for the standard 8 week classroom course. It does not include hands on lab exercises, troubleshooting, or training on the full complement of Copilot tools. This type of information will be provided in future learning modules or courses.
If advanced troubleshooting or hardware replacement is required, then a customer should be routed to a Compellent Copilot until the proper tools and advanced course material are made available.
After completing this course, learners should be able to:-
Describe Dell Compellent hardware components and features
Remove and replace Dell Compellent FRU components
Configure the Cisco and Brocade switch for a Compellent environment
Install a Single SC or Dual SC configuration to either Legacy or Virtual Port Mode
Configure basic settings on a Dell Compellent system using Storage Center
Upgrade hardware and software
Utilize basic functions of Compellent CLI
